Columbus State Police Department officer Megan Hale and Communications Technician Fred Douglas graduated on May 17 from the Supervisor Training and Education Program (STEP).

The Law Enforcement Foundation, along with the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, provide STEP for aspiring or newly promoted police department employees. The focus is on supervisor and leadership skills to prepare them as a future police leader. Three one-week classes are held over three months. Students engage with speakers and presenters from around the country. The course has a bachelor’s-level curriculum providing college credit for future degree programs.
