Plague Diaries added as an OER for faculty

Update | Tuesday, May 26, 2020

The faculty at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron, Michigan, has shared a resource with Columbus State’s Library. St. Clair created an Open Educational Resource (OER) entitled, “Plague Diaries: Firsthand Accounts of Epidemics, 430 B.C. to A.D. 1918.”

This resource was prepared for Summer Semester courses. It was created for faculty who want to use experiences from the past to help students interpret the present. Each chapter has a brief introduction, glossary, questions for discussion, and sources. It is licensed CC BY-SA so faculty can write their own discussion questions to suit their discipline and their students.

Find this resource at "Discover OER by Subject" at: https://library.cscc.edu/oer/bysubject.

This listing (under "History") is at: https://library.cscc.edu/oer/bysubject.

Then click on the resource listed as: Plague Diaries: Firsthand Accounts of Epidemics, 430 B.C. to A.D. 1918.

The Library expects it will be a valuable addition to its OER collection.
