Job Description:

The Art Coordinator is responsible for organizing and facilitating an arts currirculum for Boys & Girls Club members ages 6 through 18.  Each month, the Art Coordinator will  create a schedule of arts-related activities for Junior (ages 6-11) and Teen (ages 12-18) Club members, which will be approved by the club Director.  Arts activities can include, but are not limited to, fine arts, crafts, dramatic arts, design, photography or performing arts.

Skills Required:

The Art Coordinator must be creative, enthusiastic, patient and have good communication and customer service skills.  The Art Coordinator should bring a sample art curriculm with them to the interview as well as a list of project ideas.  Experience with children is preferred but not required.  Successful applicants must pass a criminal background check before they will be able to work in the Club.

Assist with grant writing activities: create and implement spreadsheets, manage database, type correspondence send emails, contact grant partners, write stories, data entry.

Skills Required:

Excellent computer skills, especially Word, Excel and Access, attention to detail, knowledge of standard business correspondence, reliable and high level of integrity.

Position Title: United Way of Central Ohio: Marketing & Events Intern (#040)

Rate of Pay: $7.57 per/hr

Intended Start Date for Position: ASAP

Requested Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week

Job Description:

Purpose: Provides general assistance to the Dir. of Special Events including, but not limited to event logistics, communication and administrative support. Assist with communication to vendors such as facility, catering, audio visual and printing companies.  Assist with development of related print materials by providing editing, copy development, layout, design and printing support. Manage binders, files and reports, completing mailings, managing inventory, conducting research, developing and managing event databases, compiling packets, photocopying and faxing.

Skills Required:

Good Writing and communication skills; Working knowledge of computer and electronic media including Microsoft Office.  Experience with Adobe InDesign and Web Design programs is a plus.  Ablility to run copier, scanner, phone system, printer and fax machines.
