$284,000 in Scholarship Money Now Available

Deadline is July 17 for 2009-2010 school year

The Development Foundation at Columbus State Community College has announced hundreds of scholarships are now available for the upcoming school year.
 
In all, there are more than 339 scholarships and grants available for students planning to attend Columbus State in the fall.  They range from a few hundred to well over one thousand dollars.  Some scholarships cover all degree programs while others are available for specific majors.  They include everything from digital photography and real estate to music and biological sciences.  Others are earmarked for students attending Columbus City Schools.
 
“While the total dollar amount is down from last year, some of the money has been divided to create additional scholarships.” says Matt Kelly, Director of the Columbus State Development Foundation. “We are very proud of the fact that we are able to offer a few more scholarships this year in this very tight economy.  Even with fewer resources we were able to stretch dollars to target scholarships to our students who need to fill the financial gap.”
