A Thank our Vets fundraiser will take place from Nov. 5-9. All proceeds will support the local Blue Star Mothers Group. Volunteers are collecting donations in the Nestor Hall atrium and at Veterans Week events.

Veterans Day picFriday, Nov. 9: At 9 a.m., the college will host a Support the Troops rally in the center courtyard. The program will include a live band, the Pledge of Allegiance and veterans appreciation remarks. Following the rally, Columbus State’s Veterans Services will lead a group to march in the Columbus Veterans Day Parade.

Columbus State veterans who would like to participate in the parade should contact the Columbus State Veterans Services team at (614) 287-2814 to RSVP and for additional information.

Monday, Nov. 12: Veterans Day, Campus Closed.

Tuesday, Nov. 13: The Columbus State Veterans Employee Resource Group will meet to discuss ways to support veterans on campus. Following that meeting, there’ll be a short Veterans Appreciation event at 12:30 p.m. in the Library Studio.

Veterans Day picWednesday, Nov. 14: A Veterans Career Fair will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Nestor Hall lounges.

Thursday, Nov. 15: A seminar on veterans services benefits will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Library Studio. All veterans are invited to stop by and learn about benefits.
