The Nurse
Entrance Test (NET) is a nationally recognized testing service
used in the admission process of the Columbus State nursing program
and throughout the United States. IT is a standardized examination
given by computer and is administered in about two and a half
hours. The exam assesses your current basic knowledge in areas
such as reading speed, comprehension, and math. Study guides can
be bought from CSCC’s bookstore or borrowed from the Columbus
Public Library. For information about the CSCC Nursing Department
and entrance criteria or the NET test process, call the Nursing
Department at 614-287-2506.
Our Center offers this test Monday through Friday at 9am and 1pm. To register,
please call 614-287-ACT1.
Once registration is complete, payment of $25 can be made in
the CSCC Cashiers Office in Rhodes
Hall. The receipt from this transaction as well as a photo
ID must be presented to the test administrator in order to take
the exam. The test is administered in the ACT/SkillsMAX Center
in Union Hall 035. Note that the
Cashier’s Office is not open on Saturdays, nor does it open
until 9:30am on Fridays.
In the event that you do not pass the NET test on the first attempt,
the test may be retaken six months after the first attempt for
a $50 fee.
