Professional Home Inspection Course

This 45-hour, noncredit course will qualify you to become self-employed as a home inspector.

Qualified Home Inspectors Needed in Ohio

Ohio currently has over 100,000 annual home sales, over 40,000 licensed real estate sales professionals, nearly 2,500 licensed real estate appraisers, and less than 700 practicing home inspectors. That leaves a great deal of work for a small number of inspectors.

Home inspections are requested for real estate transactions by most lenders and buyers to protect their investments. Also, home sellers depend on qualified inspector’s reports to improve their property’s salability.

What do home inspectors do?

Home  inspectors must recognize conditions that could cause problems for the potential home owner. They need extensive knowledge in many areas such as soil and foundations, wood and construction, roofing, plumbing, electricity and ventilation, swimming pools and spas, termites, radon and mold.

Students from different backgrounds with varying levels of experience located all around central Ohio have completed this course and have used this education to build a business or apply it to their own real estate investing knowledge.
