Columbus State Community College offers a wide variety of courses at convenient times
throughout the year to aid in the development of our community. Keeping with that
theme The Department of College Recreation and Wellness has open gym/recreation hours,
intramurals, and a fitness center. We also offer free fitness classes to all faculty,
staff, and students of Columbus State. We encourage the use of our facilities and

Weekly soccer matchups!
The Delaware Gymnasium has been turning into a melting pot of staff and students every
Thursday for weekly soccer match ups. They're open to anyone on campus. The games
begin around noontime each Thursday and last about 90 minutes. Drop in anytime and
join the game!
Open Gym and Recreation Intramurals: Monday: 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Thursday: 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Friday: 9 a.m. - 12 noon Basketball, soccer, floor hockey, tennis, volleyball, badminton, and dodge ball are just a few of the sports offered.

Self Defense Series: 30-minute Basics of Self-Defense will be held on October 6 on the lawn north of the
Christopher Columbus Statue at 12:00 p.m. (If raining- Delaware Hall 083)
Walk & Learn All walks are FREE to CSCC students/staff/faculty with a valid Cougar ID. These engaging
walks will take place twice a week discussing a variety of wellness topics. Meet
at the WD east entrance and enjoy a 30-45 minute walk through the Discovery District.
