LOCATION CHANGE: Taste the Future, Tuesday, Aug. 16, has been moved to the Columbus State parking garage on Washington Avenue.
There is no special application needed to get into the Facilities Maintenance Associate Degree Program or our many Skilled Trades Certificate Programs.
Just follow the normal college application process as described in the Get Started Guide. Columbus State does not charge an application fee, although there is a $50 fee when you register for the first time. Columbus State is an open enrollment school. Once you have completed the application, you will need to take the Compass Exam, which will enable us to better find a starting point suited specifically for you. ACT scores two years old or newer, can be used in place of the Compass Exam.

Individuals seeking admission into an Apprenticeship Program must do so directly with the Apprenticeship Organization. There is several area Apprenticeships working in Partnership with Columbus State Community College. This partnership provides their apprentices with College Credit towards an Associate of Applied Science Degree in one of several areas as they complete their apprenticeship program. However; admission to these programs are not through Columbus State Community College, but directly with an Apprenticeship Partner.
