Certification / Licensure
Students completing MULT 1114: Introduction to Addiction Studies meets the 40 hour
education requirement for the Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant Phase I with
the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
Graduates who have earned an Associate of Applied Science in SAHS are eligible to
apply for a Certificate of Registration as a Social Worker Assistant with the State
of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board. Graduates also meet the degree requirement
for the License Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II)

Social Work and Human Services AAS Plan of Study
Practicum Experiences
This program includes two semesters, or 315 hours of hands-on, supervised practicum/internships
experience under the direct supervision of professionals in local agencies.
Students must complete the Program Admissions Process in order to be assigned a practicum
experience.
