$30,000 transfer scholarships available from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
Yes, you read that right – that’s thirty thousand dollars that you could use to complete your bachelor’s degree if you qualify for this scholarship.
The private, independent foundation was established in 2000 by Jack Kent Cooke to help exceptionally promising students reach their full potential through education. The foundation focuses in particular on students with financial need, and its scholarship and direct service programs support the education of approximately 650 remarkable students each year.
Here are the requirements:
-
Be sophomores or recent graduates. Current students must be enrolled at the two-year institution at the time of nomination and have sophomore status by December 31, 2009. Recent alumni must have graduated within the last five years (since spring of 2005).
-
Plan to pursue baccalaureate degrees full time at accredited four-year institutions starting in fall 2010.
-
Have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
-
Have unmet financial need.
The deadline to apply is December 15. You will have to download the application and financial forms from the website at www.jkcf.org. Then, submit your application to Greg Goodhart in the Mathematics Department. He can be reached at (614) 287- 2431 if you have questions.
Help improve our web site – win $10 The Majors and Programs page is often students’ first stop in deciding what they want to study, but the wide variety of programs we offer makes it a tricky design proposition. We’ve mocked up three different proposals for the page, and we need your help to decide. To participate, follow this link: http://web.cscc.edu/snaponline/surveylogin.asp?k=125658301619 to a short, 6-question survey. At the end, enter your email address. Five respondents will be chosen at random to receive a $10 gift card to the DX Bookstore. The survey ends Nov. 20. |
