Graduating from CSCC

To graduate from Columbus State Community College a student needs to do the following:

1.  Make an appointment with an advisor to review the degree requirements and complete the:

2.  Submit all copies of the petition to Student Central, Upper Level, Madison Hall

The deadlines to return the form are:

  • To graduate Spring Semester 2016: by Friday, February 12, 2016 before 4:30 p.m.  The ceremony is in May.
  • To graduate Summer Semester 2016: by Friday, June 10, 2016 before 4:30 p.m.  Summer graduates have the opportunity to attend the ceremony in December.
  • To graduate Autumn Semester 2016: by Friday, September 23, 2015 before 4:30 p.m. The ceremony is in December. 
  • To graduate Spring Semester 2017: by Friday, February 10, 2017 before 4:30 p.m.  The ceremony is in May.
  • To graduate Summer Semester 2017: by Friday, June 09, 2017 before 4:30 p.m.  Summer graduates have the opportunity to attend the ceremony in December.
  • To graduate Autumn Semester 2017: by Friday, September 22, 2017 before 4:30 p.m. The ceremony is in December. 

The petitions are processed during the graduation semester.  Students who have petitioned to graduate will be notified of the status of the graduation petition by mail. Approximately seven (7) weeks into the graduation semester students who have petitioned to graduate and have affirmed their attendance of the ceremony will receive information on:

  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • The date, time and place of the ceremony
  • Ordering invitations
  • Cap and gown information
