College Credit Plus (CC+)
Columbus State Community College (CSCC) is proud to partner with over 40 high schools in the Central Ohio area to create pathways from high school to college that encourage qualified young people to earn dual credit – high school and college credit – while they are still in high school.
As of the 2015-2016 academic year, the Ohio Board of Regents requires that districts and colleges work together to offer college course work that will result in transcripted college and high school credit. What you may have known before as "dual enrollment", "post-secondary enrollment", or "concurrent enrollment" is all part of the College Credit Plus (CC+) legislation that we call Dual Credit. For further details, please visit Ohio's College Credit Plus Website.
Signing up for College Credit Plus with Columbus State is a three-step process.Detailed Instructions
- Apply to the college. Indicate you will take "College Credit Plus"
- Complete the COMPASS placement test or submit ACT scores.
- Submit a Registration Consent Form
Find your Pathway
Whether you want to work in a specific industry or earn a bachelor’s degree, you can start on a path to a successful future by taking your first college classes in high school. The paths listed are samples. All students should consult with a college advisor to develop their customized plan.
For students attending districts engaged in Innovation Generation, your school district (Canal Winchester, Columbus City, Gahanna-Jefferson, Grandview, Hilliard, Licking Heights, Marysville, New Albany, Pickerington Reynoldsburg, South-Western, Upper Arlington, Westerville, and Whitehall) has determined a pathway for you that may not be listed here. Please visit Innovation Generation to find out more about those pathways.
Columbus State Community College is an access institution welcoming all dual credit students who demonstrate readiness for college level course work. CSCC dual credit opportunities are subject to change based on further legislative actions that may be required for implementation of College Credit Plus.
