Dental Hygiene students welcome new students at Tuesday's Involvement Fair
Columbus State’s “Weeks of Welcome” (WOW) continue with another week of special events
to help you kick off your college experience! WOW includes programmed activities to
help you learn about the opportunities that exist outside of the classroom that can
enhance your college experience. The events are free and sponsored by various campus
departments and clubs. The activities take place on both the Columbus and Delaware

Delaware Campus Week 2: Explore Delaware Campus Resources and Involvement
Thursday, August 29, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - WOW Cookout and Resource Fair in Moeller Hall, Front Entrance
Enjoy live entertainment and meet our “Celebrity Chefs” who will serve you a free
lunch! This is also a great opportunity to learn about campus departments and services
offered to students. Meet representatives from clubs or learn how to start your own
club. Students can also learn about volunteer opportunities and even register to vote!
Need to pick a major? Attend the “Major Fairs”
New students and undecided majors can find out more about the hundreds of majors and
degrees offered at Columbus State by attending one (or more) of the “Major Fairs,”
starting in early September. At the Major Fairs, you can explore Columbus State’s
programs of study, meet the faculty, find out what it takes to complete your degree,
and explore career opportunities in each field of study. The Major Fairs are free
and open to all students. The schedule is as follows:

New hours, classes for the Fitness Center this fall
The Fitness Center, inDelaware Hall 082, will offer new hours and classes for Fall
Hours are: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday
and Thursday; 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday; and closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Fitness classes are free to all Columbus State students, and are offered on a first-come,
first-served basis. A Cougar ID is required to participate.
