JoYin Tang, Supervisor - International Student Services, DSO

JoYin is the Supervisor for International Student Services at Columbus State.  She joined the ISS team in October 2015 and has 12 plus years of higher education experience in both public and private universities, including international student recruitment/admission, student services, immigration advising, and cultural programming.  Joyin is originally of Taipei, Taiwan and is fluent in Mandarin.  She holds a B.S. degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and a M.S. degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from University of Wisconsin – Madison.  She enjoys traveling, trying new foods, working with international students and learning about other cultures. 


Amy Bullock, International Student Advisor, PDSO

Amy serves as an International Enrollment Advisor at Columbus State Community College.  She’s been at the college for 33 years in different capacities.  Amy serves as a SEVIS PDSO (Student and Exchange Visitors Information System Principal Designated School Official), as well as advises current, continuing and returning international students.  She advises these students on issues related but not limited to academic, financial matters, immigration, work authorization and personal issues such as adjustment to U.S. Society and education.  Amy served as Task Force member (2003-2005) for the Academy for International Education representing NAFSA (Association of International Educators) Region VI. She is a Columbus State Community College alumna and obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Franklin University, Columbus Ohio. 


Tamer Khadre, International Student Advisor, DSO

Tamer is an International Student Advisor who has been working with students in central Ohio since 2006. Once an international F-1 student himself, Tamer has a wealth of experience in the regulations and practices governing international students and scholars and puts that knowledge to good use as a Designated School Official (DSO) at Columbus State Community College. Originally from Egypt, Tamer has traveled to or lived in over 22 countries and is fluent in Arabic. Tamer holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Franklin University and a Masters in International Education from the SIT Graduate Institute. When not working with international students Tamer enjoys rural life with his wife and three boys.


 Diane Brackbill, International Student Office Associate

Diane aids in the International Student Services Office to help answer admission questions as well as directing students in their enrollment process. She has over 25 years of volunteer experience working with the international student population here in Columbus, Ohio including serving as an English conversation tutor and special event coordinator.  She has traveled both to Europe and Japan and it is her passion to serve the international student population who are pursuing their education here in the United States. Diane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from The Ohio State University. 


Jasmine Marks – Specialist, Global diversity & Inclusion Center
Jasmine is a Specialist in the Global Diversity & Inclusion Center at Columbus State Community College. GDIC encompasses both Diversity Services and International Student Services. In her position, she works to provide quality student programming while helping to make sure our students succeed. Jasmine had such an amazing undergraduate experience in Student Affairs, that she knew Higher Education would be her professional passion.

In 2011, Jasmine had the opportunity to study abroad in China and from that moment on, she knew that she wanted to work closely with international and diverse student populations.
Jasmine's door is always open. She values working together in order to enrich all of our experiences.

Jasmine holds a Master of Arts in Foreign and Second Language Education from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Hiram College in Vocal Performance.
