Society of the Compass

Society of the CompassThe Society of the Compass is a prestigious student award first awarded in 2013 in honor of Columbus State’s 50th anniversary. It has become an annual recognition announced at the end of each academic year and recognized at the Spring Semester Commencement Ceremony.

Because our students often find their direction while in college, the award was named The Society of the Compass. The distinction allows faculty and staff to recognize students who have demonstrated extraordinary achievements during their time at Columbus State.

Membership in the Society of the Compass represents the successful achievement of the four compass points that serve as the foundation of the Society: Nobility, Excellence, Service and Wisdom. Society of the Compass creed
