EMS / Fire Science

Fire Science Offices and the Fire Academy are moving to Bolton Field!

To allow time to build our new home and academy, we will not hold a Summer 2017 Fire Academy class (FIRE 1121 and FIRE 1122).  These certificate courses will return for Autumn Semester 2017. Check the Autumn Schedule to register for the sections of your choice.

Classes will start on August 28, 2017 at Bolton Field.

Open house events are planned for late Summer Semester 2017 and will be announced on the CSCC Website.

Options: Our EMS/Fire programs are designed to allow you to obtain an EMS/Fire certification prior to obtaining your associate degree. While a certification as an EMT or Firefighter allows you to start working right away, an EMS or Fire Science degree helps with initial hiring and promotional opportunities in the public safety field.

Access: As a college, our classes are eligible for federal student financial aid and a number of scholarships. Our tuition costs are among the lowest in Central Ohio.

Certification: You will need a state certification to work as a firefighter and or a state & national certification to work as an EMT or Paramedic. See Programs for more details.

Results: Our graduates are working right now at fire departments and EMS services all around Ohio and across the country.
