Discovery District Holiday Trolley Hop set for Dec. 13

holiday hopCome back down to the Discovery District Dec. 13 for the third annual Holiday Trolley Hop! Businesses will open their doors for the three-hour event to welcome the community to experience the festive holiday season in the District.

Complimentary trolleys will stop at each point of interest where free activities and demonstrations will be available. Park in one spot and ride the free trolleys around the district on short, mapped-out routes. Options for shopping and dining will be featured throughout the Discovery District.

Key points include:

  • Holiday reading at Snowden-Gray House
  • Studio craft at Columbus Museum of Art
  • Create an ornament at the Topiary Park
  • Tours of historic Kelton House, Thurber House and First Congregational Church
  • Special finale at 3:30 p.m. at the Topiary Park with a hot chocolate bar, holiday sing-a-long, and the lighting of the Topiary Park
  • Afterwards, view the State Auto Nativity display; lighted at 5:30 p.m.

Participants have the option to support Faith Mission and the Manna Café by bringing socks or gloves to marked drop boxes at each site.

The Holiday Trolley Hop will be Saturday, Dec. 13 from 1 - 4 p.m. in the Discovery District. Columbus State students can park in college parking lots, and additional free Parking is available at Motorists Insurance lots at 471 E. Broad St.
