Action Projects for 2014

Early Alert, Institutional Reporting and Reverse Transfer are the three new Action Projects for 2014. The projects received accreditation committee and cabinet approval in August, and were recently posted on the Higher Learning Commission website.

The Title III program is funded through a five-year $2 million dollar federal grant. Early Alert is an AQIP Category 6 project - Supporting Institutional Operations.

Teddi Lewis-Hotopp, Director of Title III: Strengthening Institutions, manages the team.

Heading the effort is Jennifer Anderson, Director of Institutional Effectiveness. Institutional Reporting is an AQIP Category 7 project – Measuring Effectiveness.

blu arr   Reverse Transfer identifies former students who transferred prior to completing certificate or degree requirements, but now qualify for graduation based on coursework completed at their transfer institution. A year in the making, this project will improve internal processes and add new private partnerev tranr institutions. To date, some 300 Columbus State students now count as graduates.

Reverse Transfer is a Category 9 project - Building Collaborative Relationships – and is part of Goal 2025, the national college completion effort.

Martin Maliwesky, Dean of Enrollment Services, leads this group.

Teams will submit project updates later in the year for peer review by the Higher Learning Commission. Results will be posted on the commission website by September 2014.
