Drop for Non-Attendance

The Drop for Non-Attendance process is run at the 61% percent of the quarter, which is approximately the mid-term point of the quarter. Over the process of 10 days, students who receive financial aid are assessed by their instructors as to whether or not the student is attending classes.

A signed roster requesting one or more students to be dropped from a course is sent by the instructor to the Records and Registration Department where the drop is then processed according to the last date of attendance noted by the instructor. An e-mail communication is sent to each student dropped for non-attendance to that students CSCC student mail account.

If a student feels that he or she has been dropped in error, the student must speak to the instructor. If indeed an error has occurred, the instructor must either sign a Registration Add/Drop form for the student to bring to the Student Assistance Center or send an e-mail to nstillwe@cscc.edu to request the student be reinstated to the class.

If you have questions about being dropped for non-attendance, please contact your instructor.
