Training Program

Description

 

 

Supervising Bargaining Unit Employees

Provides basic instruction in contract administration with emphasis on management responsibilities.  All applicants receive a supervisor desktop reference manual.

Grievance Handling

Provides basic instruction on how to handle grievances.  Sample forms and process flowcharts are provided.

Discipline – General

Provides basic instruction on how to properly document counseling’s and progressive discipline.  Sample forms, action plans and fact sheets are provided.

Just Cause

Provides basic instruction on how to justify the 7 Tests of Just Cause.  Reference material is provided

Internal Administrative Investigations

Provides basic instruction on how to conduct internal administrative investigations.  Sample questions, outlines and fact sheets are provided.

Ethics

Provides a basic overview of the Ohio Ethics Law and Commission operation.  Explains the expectations of Public Employees.  Ethics is Everybody’s Business brochure, higher education ethics articles are provided.

Performance Evaluations

Provides the basics for administering performance evaluations and action plans for bargaining unit employees.  Provides a Performance Phrases book and samples.

Overtime

Provides basic instruction on documenting and offering overtime to bargaining unit employees according to individual contracts.  Provides sample rosters.
