The program is designed to meet the needs of students that are distant to the college and/or for those who desire a more convenient manner in which to learn. In so doing, it is also meeting the needs of Histology laboratories by providing the training necessary for competent and productive employees.

To be a successful online learner, a student must possess a particular set of characteristics. These include:

• Have time to devote to study. It is recommended that you plan for 3 hours of study for every credit hour of instruction.
• Independent and motivated learner
• Not intimidated by technology
• Good reading skills
• Good general computer skills
• Good communication skills. You need to be able to communicate ideas to the instructor or other classmates.
