Faculty Idea Exchange (FIX) Annual Conference

FACULTY IDEA EXCHANGE (FIX) 2026
The Columbus State Community College Faculty Idea Exchange (FIX) is an annual summer conference planned by the CSCC Instructional Success Committee (ISC) that provides a forum where college educators from Central Ohio and beyond can share and compare best teaching practices. Educators from every institution are invited.
FIX 2026 is scheduled for:
June 5, 2026
8:30 am - 2:40 pm
Columbus State WD Conference Center
(In-person Only)
We are excited to announce that this year’s keynote and plenary speaker is Dr. Mary-Ann Winkelmes, Founder, Director, and Principal Investigator of the Transparency in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education project (TILT Higher Ed). On six continents, TILT promotes direct communication with students about methods of teaching, learning, advising, and mentoring to help educators identify the most effective evidence-based approaches to support postsecondary students’ learning. Her work to improve higher education learning and teaching, especially for historically underserved students, has been recognized nationally by the Chronicle of Higher Education and the POD Network's Robert J. Menges Award for Outstanding Research in Education Development.
In addition to the featured speaker, breakout sessions focused on student success and best teaching practices will be presented by faculty and other education experts from higher-ed institutions of Central Ohio (and beyond).

FIX CLIX (FIX Classroom Innovation Exchange)
The CSCC Instructional Success Committee has established a resource for faculty at Columbus State - FIX CLIX - that can be used to support instructional success in the classroom and share peer-submitted, evidenced-based resources on best practices in teaching. We work to collect the interests and insights in the teaching profession and provide them here as a resource for all interested in improving instructional success. If you have been inspired by a book, a research paper, or your peers and want to share your excitement, please consider submitting a proposal for a blog post via the link below.
