Women's History Month brings Maj. Gen. Deboarah Ashenhurst to Columbus State Friday

Appointed by Governor John Kasich in 2011, Ashenhurst serves as the 81st Adjutant General for the Guard. As a member of the governor's cabinet, she commands the Ohio National Guard, consisting of the Ohio Army National Guard, Ohio Air National Guard, Ohio Military Reserve and the Ohio Naval Militia. 

Ashenhurst will speak on Friday, March 29 at noon at the Columbus State Conference Center located on the fourth floor of the Center for Workforce Development, 315 Cleveland Ave.

The event is free and open to the public, the topic will be

"The Challenges and Triumphs of Women in the United States Military."

Our guests will be 1SG Reginald Blount and SSG Curtis Mock from the 412th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) they will be sharing their accomplishments and challenges while serving in the United States Army

The bookstore account closing date for VA Vocational Rehab and all other sponsored/voucher students will be Saturday, 16 February 2013. Students taking flex-term classes will need to plan ahead and purchase their books and supplies before this deadline.
