Thanking our vets

President Harrison addresses the crowd at the Nov. 9 Veterans Rally held on campus prior to the downtown Columbus Veterans Day Parade. After the rally, Veterans Services supervisor Jay Favuzzi led a group of Columbus State student and employee veterans downtown to march in the parade. Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. is the Veterans Career Fair in the Nestor Hall Student Lounges.
Reminder: Concert Band concert tonight
The Columbus State Concert Band will perform its fall concert on TONIGHT, at 8:00 p.m. in the Conference Center Ballroom, WD fourth floor. The concert is free and open to the public.
Blackboard Assignments
This seminar will cover the core features of Blackboard 9.1's Assignment feature that enables you to easily manage and track homework assignments online. The Assignment feature allows you to handout, gather, and grade homework assignments all in your Blackboard 9 course shell.

Dental Hygiene, Respiratory Care students offer smoking cessation event
Students in two health technology programs, Dental Hygiene and Respiratory Care, will hold a special event on Thursday, November 15, from 9:00 a.m. – noon, to help people stop smoking.
The activity will be held in the GA building Room 15. The students will offer lung capacity screenings, oral cancer screenings, tobacco cessation support, and hold raffles for electric toothbrushes and White Strips! The event is sponsored by the Columbus State Wellness Initiative.

International Education Week offers films!
International Education Week is an opportunity for us to celebrate the benefits of international education and cultural exchange around the world. Columbus State celebrates international education this year with a film festival to examine major social issues from around the world. Watch a film, followed by engaging dialogue immediately after the film screening. The Film Festival is open to all students and employees.

November 15 – “Meeting Mandela – A Staying Alive Special” with Beyoncé – 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. in the Library Studio.
