Columbus State Delaware Campus and OSU Marion team up for food drive

Clawdette Cougar stands in the Moeller Hall lobby at the Delaware Campus with some of the hundreds of food items collected so far.
Following a successful inaugural food drive last year when nearly 500 items were collected at the Columbus State Delaware Campus, organizers are teaming up this year with Ohio State University Marion to make it even bigger. OSU Marion began offering classes on the Delaware Campus this fall.
“So far, we’ve collected 1,000 items and they’re still coming in,” said organizer Stacey Ray. “OSU Marion has been instrumental. They created the flyers and the new slogan: The Power of Five to Feed 500 Lives.”
OSUM faculty Amy Tibbals and her English 109.02 class created the slogan based on the theory that if each member of the Delaware Campus student body brought just five items to the donation, the total could feed 500 people in need.
The items will be loaded up at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, and delivered to People In Need, Inc., of Delaware County.
