Digital Arts Fest now accepting entries
Entries are now being accepted from students who have created digital art in the following categories for the Downtown Digital Arts Festival, 2009: digital design, digital photography, video, or interactive media/Web.
The Downtown Digital Arts Festival is held annually at Columbus State. The festival is a celebration of excellence in digitally created art and design. Judged entries will be displayed from June 2–4. Awards will be presented at a gala on Thursday evening, June 4.

Temporary parking passes to be distributed
If you purchased a Spring Quarter parking permit and have not received it, please come to Public Safety, Union Hall 048, for a temporary hangtag permit that will expire on June 12, 2009. These temporary parking permits will only be issued to those students who have purchased a 2009 Spring Quarter permit. Please bring your college photo ID.

Photography student studies in Italy
Andy Buckingham, a digital photography student at Columbus State, is currently studying in Italy and completing coursework online at CSCC simultaneously. He recently had one of his photos published in Schmap travel guide designed for iPods and iPhones. The photo is taken from the Piazzale Michelangelo.
Transcript software company holds video contest
RedLantern, the company that makes the degree audit report software you use to check your progress toward your degree, is hosting a Brand Awareness Video Contest. They are looking for a 3-5 minute video that showcases the redLantern name and the campus suite of products (DARwin, DARSweb, and u.select) in a clever, catchy way. Entrants must be 18 and over, and all contest rules are available on the contest site, at www.redLanternU.com/video.
The winners will be announced at the Users Conference this June, and the company will continue to use the video at many of the conferences they attend. The winner will also take home a $2,500 cash prize!
