Federal School Code
The Federal School Code is used by the Department of Education to identify which schools should receive the results of a student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure to list Columbus State's Code on your FAFSA.
Using the Financial Aid Office Customer Service Window
Students may receive forms, general account information, drop off paperwork, schedule appointments with financial aid advisors or receive general scholarship information on a walk-in basis during regular office hours.
Contacting the Financial Aid Office by Phone
General information can be obtained by phone; however, to ensure confidentiality, dollar amounts cannot be discussed on the phone. Callers with detailed questions or complicated situations will be asked to schedule an appointment. Our busiest times are 2 weeks prior to the start of the quarter through the second week of the quarter. During these time we will assist callers to the best of our abilities. We apologize if the high volume of calls/visits to our office results in delays in service.
Financial Aid Advisors
Appointments with financial aid advisors are offered to assist with in-depth questions or concerns. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Same-day appointments are not available.To schedule an appointment, call the Financial Aid Office Customer Service line at 614-287-2648. A financial aid advisor is also available at the Financial Aid Customer Service windows on a walk-up basis during regular office hours.
