Alternate Media

Alternate media converts printed materials such as textbooks and handouts into different formats.  This enables you to read the material using the computer.  Alternate media can include electronic text, large print, audio materials and braille.

You will need make an Alternate Media request every semester. Submitting requests as soon as you have a schedule is crucial.

Once produced, your Alternate media requests can be accessed by going to the “Alternate-media textbook pickup” site on blackboard.  It can be found under the “My organizations tab”

PLEASE NOTE: Textbook conversions can take up to 6 weeks to produce. Advance notice is very important. Please utilize the Alternate Media Guidelines as a reference to guide you through the process.
