Career Coach

career coach logoCareer Coach is a web-based tool that helps jobseekers understand local employment opportunities. Users can access the latest data on area jobs, salaries, and employment trends as well as learn about educational and training programs offered at Columbus State.

If you are an employer who would like to post a job so that it will appear in Career Coach, it will appear on Indeed.com - the most popular job site in the world – where it will be available to Indeed's 4 million daily visitors. Because Career Coach pulls in job postings from Indeed.com, your posting should also appear under matching occupations within Career Coach.

Once you submit your job, it should appear in the Career Coach "Job Listings" section for occupations that relate to the position. Indeed.com does this categorization on a keyword basis, so we are unable to control or guarantee the specific occupations it will appear under.

If you have already posted your job through another job listing service such as a newspaper, Career Builder, or job board that is picked up by Indeed.com there is no need to submit your open position again here. Not sure if your position is already listed? You can search for your company at Indeed.com and see if you have any listings showing.

Career Fairs

The Career Services office hosts several large career fairs throughout the academic year, as well as several smaller events tailored to meet the needs of specific majors or programs.

These events attract top regional employers, as well as Fortune 500 companies from throughout the country. Organizations recruit at CSCC because they know our students and alumni are strong competitive candidates.

Space is limited, so register early! Many employers schedule interviews in the days and weeks following a career fair, a convenience to both employers and candidates.

Recruiting Tables

Career Services provides an on-campus Recruiting Table Program during the fall and spring semesters for currently enrolled students and alumni who are engaged in a job or internship search. We schedule recruiters from an array of organizations for campus visits to interview prospective candidates for full-time, part-time employment and internships.
