    No additional discounts apply; all COTA passes are non-refundable. Please protect your pass in the same manner you would protect cash.

Ordering Online

PROCESSING & PAYMENT

  • PROCESSING

    Orders take 48 to 72 hours to process (Monday-Friday only).
    Once an order has been placed it cannot be cancelled. To refund an order it must be returned to the bookstore either in-person or by mail once received.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

  • SHIPPING:

    1. UPS Ground Shipping (standard UPS charges and delivery timelines apply) A confirmation will be sent to the email provided once your order has shipped.

    2. Order pick up (no charge, delivery within 4 business days from the order date) This option does not include shipping confirmation. Orders will arrive within 4 business days from order date. Please check the location and hours prior to picking up books. In-store pick up is not available at the Columbus Campus Bookstore location, please choose the following options:


    Students are responsible for picking up their online order, and must present a valid photo ID (Cougar ID, driver's license, state ID, or military ID).

    ONLINE RETURNS:

    Online purchases may be returned to the Columbus State Bookstore in person or shipped to the bookstore at the customer's expense. Refunds post within 3-10 business days once processed.

    A receipt is required and returns must be made in the original form of payment (i.e. credit card must be presented for in-store return). Please see the full return policy section below for more information.
     

FAQ

  • What happens if I receive the wrong book?
  • If the wrong book is received, return it to the Columbus State Bookstore in person or by mail. If the Bookstore staff packaged the wrong book, we will correct the order and send the book to the designated pick-up location or original shipping address free of charge. Please contact the Web Coordinator at 614-287-5118 for assistance.
  • What happens if I forget my password?
  • Click on "forgot my password," and the system will generate a new password and send it to you in an email.  If you do not receive an email, you will need to start a new account.
  • What happens if I forget my email address?
  • You will need to start a new account with a different email address that you have never used on our website.

CHECK AVAILABILITY

  • Visit your CougarWeb account and click "Bookstore Charge Transactions" (located under the financial aid section) to verify available funds.  
  • The bookstore is only able to check balances with a photo ID (driver's license, state ID, CougarID), so funds may not be verified over phone or email. If your Financial Aid book allowance is not available at the bookstore, please contact the Columbus State Financial Aid Department at 614-287-2648.
  • Financial Aid allowance can be used online if available, but if it does not cover the full amount (including tax and shipping) your order will automatically be cancelled. Please verify funds before placing online orders.
     
Returns & Exchanges

TEXTBOOKS

  • A full refund will be given for textbooks returned in original condition within 14 days of the first day of the semester. Purchases made after this period must be returned within 7 days of the purchase date.
  • Refunds post within 3-10 business days (this excludes weekends and holidays). If original purchase was made by check, please allow five business days from date of purchase to request a return.
  • RETURN POLICY
  • • Receipts are required for refunds and exchanges. 
  • • All Refunds must be credited to your original form of payment.
  • • Digital content and access cards are not eligible for a refund or exchange if the code has been revealed.

  • A full refund will be given for merchandise returned in original condition within 14 days of the purchase date.
  • Refunds post within 3-10 business days (this excludes weekends and holidays). If original purchase was made by check, please allow five business days from date of purchase to request a return.

  • • Opened or used merchandise, COTA passes, Accidental Warranty Plans, and Gift Cards are NOT returnable.
  • • Defective products that offer a product warranty must be resolved with the manufacturer.
