Post-COMPASS Advising

Students who have completed the COMPASS Placement Test will meet with an advisor to review the results. For more information on what to do next, please select the link that best describes you and your academic situation.

New Students

A "new student" is defined as a student who has never previously attended Columbus State or any other college or university and does not fall within any of the categories listed below.


Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO)

The PSEO Program has been designed to provide an opportunity for qualified high school students who are Ohio residents to experience more advanced academic work through regular college courses that contribute to the broad academic preparation of the student.


English as a Second Language (ESL)

Returning Columbus State students

Returning students are defined as any student who has previously attended Columbus State and completed courses.


Transfer Students

Transfer-in students are defined as any student who has previously attended another college or university and completed courses that could transfer to Columbus State for credit.
