Phlebotomy ... Getting Started: Quick Facts
  • Program begins during summer or winter quarters (MULT 115) and continues fall or spring (MULT 114)

  • Program length: 1 or 2 quarter options. If you are interested in becoming nationally certified, you are required to take the 2 quarter option.

  • Credit hours: MULT 115 - 4.75; MULT 114 – 1.5

  • Tuition: Current rate is $79 per credit hour. See the CSCC website for the most current information regarding fees.

  • Lab fees: MULT 115 - $55.00; MULT 114 - $10.00

  • About fingerprinting: you will need to print the form within this website and pay for the fingerprinting and then have the fingerprinting done at Public Safety (located on the ground floor of Union Hall).  There are directions on the form regarding how to proceed once you have paid the fee for this.  NOTE:  Students with felony convictions are not permitted to enroll in Phlebotomy.

  • Clinical Placement: at the start of week 6, you are required to attend a clinical facility (placement is arranged for you) for a total of 40 hours (8 hours for each of the last 5 weeks of the quarter in MULT 115). This is arranged on the same day of each of the last 5 weeks.  These clinical facilities are located in Columbus and in surrounding counties. You must provide your own transportation to the facility. Placement is based upon order of registration.

    This clinical experience is only available during the week (Monday-Friday) and only during the daytime (generally between 7 AM-5 PM). If you are unable to commit to this schedule, you are advised to not schedule MULT 115 until you are able to do so
