We offer a variety of courses to meet the education needs of RNs and LPNs. Courses are offered in our convenient downtown location . We have a many educational resources including a modern nursing lab and a multimedia computer lab. CSCC is an OBN-approved provider of continuing education.

Did you know that you can take college courses and use those hours to meet the CE requirement. For example: Taking a 3 credit hour nursing elective = over 30 contact hours at a price of less than $200. We currently offer several electives:

Information Technology in Healthcare (online)
Introduction to Critical Care Nursing
Holistic Interventions for Health Care Providers
End of Life Care (online)
Current Trends in Pediatric Nursing
Gerontological Nursing (online)

IV Therapy for LPNS; 40 hours theory course with practicum, cost is $325, current immunizations, insurance, med card, LPN license required. There is also a clinical component in an acute care facility. .

Continuing Professional Education with
the Human Patient Simulator & PediaSim

The Patient Simulator Program is also a provider of continuing education for both nursing and allied health professionals. Programs may be customized to meet any provider’s need for education and staff development. The program coordinator will work closely to design an educational program tailored to your staff development needs.

The HPS and PediaSim can meet the educational needs of the prehospital provider community, acute care, and long term care. The costs associated with utilizing the HPS or PediaSim for continuing education programs is nominal and competitive with community continuing education rates.
