STEPs FOR TRANSITIONING TO SEMESTERS:

• Step 1: Verify your IMT Major or declare one if you have not done so already.

  - For Integrated Media & Technology Department, available majors include:
  CIT, GRPH, FOTO, IMMT, LOGI, and MTKG.
  
  - To change, call the TIC at 287-5353 or submit a Change of Information Form, available online, to Records and Registration.

• Step 2: Run a Degree Audit Report (DARS) online to know where you stand.
  • - This online tool tells you where you stand academically and tracks progress toward your degree. To run a Degree Audit Report, log on to CougarWeb and then click "My Degree Audit."
  Step 3: Attend an IMT advising session.
  • - Review the current advising schedule - ADVISING SCHEDULE
    • - Sessions are 30 minute increments, be sure to arrive promptly or you may need to reschedule
    • - Each advisor has specified times, room, and majors advised
  • - To schedule an appointment, email dpond@cscc.edu with your NAME, COUGAR ID, MAJOR, EMAIL and PHONE NUMBER along with the time/advisor requested. Subject line "S2S Appointment Request".
  • - To ensure privacy standards, bring your Cougar ID to the advising session with your DARs Audit
  • - During the session, you will develop a Transitional Plan of Study and complete a Pledge Audit.
  Step 4: If you need to retake a quarter class, do so before semesters begin.
• Step 5: Finish before semesters arrive if you are close to graduation.
• Step 6: Folow your Transitional Plan of Study to completion.

About Switch to Semesters:

Effective Autumn 2012, Columbus State will change its academic calendar from the quarter system to the semester system. Here is what you need to know or do now:
• If you will graduate before Autumn 2012, you will not be affected by the conversion.
• If you are close to graduation, or if it's possible to finish your degree prior to Autumn 2012, try to finish.
• If you don't finish your degree/certificate before the Switch2Semesters, you will be affected and considered a "transition" student.

If you are close to finishing your plan of study, you should "Target 2 Finish" your degree before the semester switch arrives. Please meet with your advisor to develop a plan to complete your degree by Summer 2012. Please see the following "Target 2 Finish" flyers below.
