Faculty Orientation


Adjunct Orientation
Offered before the beginning of every quarter. A program designed for adjunct faculty who have been hired to teach their first quarter with Columbus State Community College. The session focus on teaching and managing courses as well as policies and procedures. All newly hired adjunct faculty are to attend the orientation prior to teaching. Registration on the web is available. Participants are paid the meeting rate per hour for the orientation.


Full-Time Faculty Orientation
Three full days prior to the beginning of Autumn quarter and two half day follow-up sessions——one in winter and one in spring quarter. Activities include sessions with the President, Provost and other administrators. A comprehensive sessions on “Why We Teach” and “Civility in the Classroom”. Polices and Procedures are also an integral part of the program.
