Jump Start Program

A one day schedule of sessions designed to educate part-time staff, full-time staff and administrators about Columbus State Community College. All new hires receive training and education on the most necessary information to get started in their new positions. The Jump Start program runs from 7:45 am-5:00 pm on the first hire dated of each calendar month.

Linkages Program

Monthly sessions held on Fridays. Departments from among the college will present information on various topics to help acclimate employees to the culture of Columbus State. The Linkages program is open to all employees of the college, new and current.

Pathways Program

Quarterly reception to formally introduce staff to the President, her Cabinet, Shared Governance, Staff Advisory Council and the functions of the Board of Trustees. Following the introductions will be a reception and pinning of new hires by President Moeller. Supervisors of all new hires are requested to attend and celebrate with their staff.

Fast Tracks Program

These are social networking events for new staff to the college. Events are scheduled after 5 pm on weekdays or anytime on Saturday or Sunday. Fast Tracks events are voluntary. New hires are encouraged to attend as a way to meet and interact with other college employees. Fast Tracks events are open to all employees of the college.

Cougar Chat Program

A discussion board created for new employees to the college. The Cougar Chat board is on the Cougar Tracks Program blackboard site. New employees have an opportunity to maintain communication with their orientation class members, ask questions in a safe environment, pose topics for discussion and provide feedback about their orientation experience.
