Columbus State Community College seeks to ensure a comfortable work and
learning environment by opposing and prohibiting any offensive physical,
written, spoken, or non-verbal conduct.
The EEO Units primary function is to ensure that Columbus State Community
College complies with all legal requirements regarding equal opportunity in
employment of individuals and in contracting with businesses and to ensure
that the College is taking adequate steps to eliminate such barriers. This
unit also sponsors workshops, develops and conducts EEO training in a number
of areas including Sexual Harassment, conducts investigations into
allegations of discrimination, reviews, evaluates and reports to the Vice
President of Human Resources and the President, as appropriate, on overall
progress. Reasonable accommodations under the American Disability Act and
issues surrounding harassment fall under guidance of the EEO Unit.
