John Bowditch
The Ohio University

John is an instructor in the School of Media Arts and Studies (Formerly School of Telecommunications teaching digital game production.  He is also the co-Director of the Game Research and Immersive Design (GRID) Lab, a 3500 sq. ft. facility dedicated to the research and development of educational games and multimedia.  He has created several games, simulations, and virtual reality technology for the Department of Homeland Security, National Institute of Health, Ohio Board of Regents, Ohio Supercomputer Center, and the Appalachian Regional Commission,

His current project is an in-field virtual reality emergency responder's aid that is funded by the Columbus, Ohio Police Department and Department of Homeland Security
