Video Category Guidelines and Rules
- Videos must be submitted on, Mini-DV tape or DVD and be available for screening (NTSC only for festival screening).
- Please access the DDAF Web site at www.cscc.edu/DDAF for a complete list of restrictions concerning entries.
- Only one entry is to be on a Mini-DV tape or DVD. Cue tape to start of video. A completed Video Submission Form (offered below) must be taped to the sleeve of each entry.
- Videos should aim for a PG or PG-13 rating. Avoid violence, explicit language, and sexual content.
- A release form for music must accompany submission.
- Videos must have been completed no earlier than May 2008
- Narrative short film videos must be 20 minutes or less (recommended length is 15 minutes).
- Music videos are open to any music genre and must be 6 minutes or less (recommended length).
- Documentary short film videos must be 20 minutes or less.
- Up to five submissions per entrant are allowed but each entry requires a separate Mini-DV tape or DVD.
- All submitted entries become the property of Columbus State Community College; however, the entrant retains rights to the work.
- The Mini-DV tape or DVD is to be labeled with the entrant’s name and title of work.
- All entries must include the following or they will not be considered for judging.
- MINI-DV or DVD format
- Video synopsis, principal cast/crew list, and brief bio of director
- Each entry is labeled with entrant’s name and work’s title
- DDAF Submission Form
Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m., May 4, 2009
