New Tubular Assault Partnering Agency
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) has been added as the newest Tubular Assault Class partnering agency.

Our Tubular Assault class provides the law enforcement or military operator with the opportunity to receive training from some of the finest instructors anywhere using the live platforms of buses, trains and aircraft.  Training will cover counter-terror hostage rescue tactics, bomb and explosive emergencies, and aircraft drug courier interdiction.

Even if your agency doesn't have an airport in its jurisdictions, your skill set training foundations will be built upon using advanced firearms training, close quarter battle defensive tactics, and tubular assault tactics that work in terms of continuity on all platforms utilized, and even in tight spaces like narrow school hallways.  Students will receive information on the operational systems of school and passenger buses, AMTRAK passenger train systems (the basics of which can also be applied to light rail, subway or commuter systems), light/regional aircraft such as Lear/Citation jets and piston engine craft (with a view for drug courier intervention) and our Boeing 727 Passenger Jet.

The aircraft are all maintained in operational condition by the Columbus State Community College Aviation Maintenance Program.   During the advanced training segments, the 727 will operate under APU power for the ultimate in realistic simulation.  Completion of the course qualifies you for 3 non-traditional quarter credit hours from Columbus State Community College Justice and Safety Program for the LAWE 135 Terrorism Course.

This may allow you to use tuition reimbursement from your agency to attend-no money is needed upfront, department letterhead specifying that agency tuition reimbursement will pay for the class will suffice.  This course is open only to Law Enforcement Tactical Officers and Operational Military Personnel.  Equipment list an ammunition requirements will be sent upon registration.
