Can I
obtain a degree at night or on a part-time basis only?
Yes. We offer
our classes both during the day and at night. Many of our
students are part-time and continue working while obtaining
their degree.
What is
the difference between a landscape architect and a landscape
designer? The
primary difference is a requirement to have a license as a
Landscape Architect. Designers are typically trained
and educated in their profession with either a two or four
year degree. In addition to a four year Landscape Architect
Architect degree you must
also pass a state exam after working as an apprentice for a
number of years. Designers typically practice on residential
and small commercial projects while Landscape Architects
work in large public and commercial areas.
Can
I transfer to a 4-year college?
Yes.
we have several articulation agreements with colleges in
central Ohio. Our entire program transfers to Mississippi
State in their Landscape Architecture program and to North
Carolina State.
What
is the job market like for graduates?
Very
good. We are recruited by companies all over the country.
Students accept positions in design, sales, estimating,
buying, crew leaders, horticulturists and many more. The
possibilities are endless.
