Theatre Columbus State presents a classic by
Molière
Continuing with this season's comic theme,
Communication Skills Professor Dr. D.
Michael Ehret will direct Molière's 17th
century comedy of manners The Misanthrope,
March 4 - 7.
The play concerns a righteous critic of polite
French society, Alceste, who falls in love
with Célimène, a flirtatious socialite who
represents everything that he scorns. Love
triangles, bumbling servants, a court trial
over a love poem, and a tangle of love
triangles complicate the plot, with
hilarious results.
Five productions of The Misanthrope are scheduled for Nestor Hall
Auditorium on:
Wednesday, March 4, at 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 5, at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Friday, March 6, at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 7, at 8:00 p.m.
All performances are free, and open to the
public.
