Two 2007 mini-grants approved for
Communication Skills projects
The Columbus State Development Foundation has
announced funding for two projects organized
by Communication Skills faculty. The projects
earmarked for funding in 2007 are Envisioning
Possibilities III and the Visiting Authors
Workshops.
Deborah Bertsch and Jerusha McClendon will
serve as project coordinators for the
Department's third offering of Envisioning
Possibilities, a writing workshop and essay
contest for area students in GED programs,
held in conjunction with the annual Make A
Difference Day.
Clay Cormany and Karen D'Arbanville are
project coordinators for the ongoing Visiting
Authors Workshops. The workshops are free and
open to faculty, staff, advanced students, and
community writers. The grant enables the
coordinators to publish a chapbook of the
group's creative work.
