Visiting Authors Workshop presents
Tony Littlefield and Scott Woods
A special session of
this
season's Visiting Authors workshop series
will occur Monday afternoon, February 4, 1:30 - 4:00, with the joint
presentation by a
distinguished author and an accomplished poet.
Tony Littlefield's Black Mountain: A
Journey Home is the story of an
African-American man's search for his family
history, beginning in Black Mountain, North
Carolina, which was home to Mr.
Littlefield's ancestors.
Scott Woods is president of Poetry Slam,
Inc., founder of the Writers' Block Poetry
Night, an award-winning poet and performer
in his own right, and author and editor of
over nine books, including The Watering
Hole: Juke Joint Poems and Can You
Hear Me Now?
The workshop is free. Columbus State
students, staff and faculty, as well as all
interested writers from the community, are
cordially invited to attend.
Refreshments will be served, because writers
love to eat.
The Visiting Authors Workshop series is funded
by a grant from the Columbus State Development
Foundation.
