Theatre Columbus State director Frank Barnhart
takes award
The 8th Annual Central Ohio Theatre Roundtable
Awards presented its 2007 Excellence in
Directing Award to Frank Barnhart, for his
production of the Triangle Factory Fire
Project, presented last autumn by
Theatre Columbus State.
The drama, written
by Christopher Piehler, concerned an
historic 1911 catastrophe that killed 186
immigrant factory workers in Manhattan.
This is director Barnhart's second
consecutive award in the category, after
receiving 2006 honors for Theatre Columbus
State's production of The Laramie Project.
Dean of Arts & Sciences Jack Cooley praised
Barnhart's honor as "yet another instance
of faculty excellence at CSCC," and a
tribute to Columbus State's Theatre program.
