Kimberly Rhyan joined Columbus State Community College in April 2012 as the Director of Student Engagement and Leadership. Kimberly is excited about engaging students and developing student leaders at Columbus State! She earned her Master of Arts in Creative Art Therapy from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. She has been working in Higher Education since 2003; her passion is developing, facilitating and assessing leadership and service programs to nurture student success. Kimberly is an artist and received her B.A. in Fine Art from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Kimberly continually strives to live out the motto of her alma mater, “To seek to learn to seek to serve.” During her free-time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being an artist, and volunteering with ARTalum, a society she founded in 2002 to raise money for art scholarships.

Mya Jordan is the Assistant Director and serves as the Supervisor for the Student Ambassador Leadership Program and coordinates the following programs: Collegiate Leadership Conference of Ohio, Columbus State Leadership Institute, Serve Our Community programs, Week of Welcome, and many other student involvement programs. Mya joined Columbus State’s TRIO department in 2013 as an Advisor with the Educational Talent Search program and later became a supervisor for Upward Bound. She holds a B.S. in Sport Management and M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. She is passionate about working with students and assisting in their holistic development.

Genevieve Sharron is the program coordinator in Student Engagement and Leadership, where she supports more than 1,400 students and advisors involved in Columbus State’s clubs and organizations. She also manages OrgSync, the campus involvement and management system, also known as the Hub. This past year she joined SEaL as a specialist, supporting student success and developing community service initiatives. She holds a B.S. in organismal biology from Kent State University and a M.A. in biological anthropology from The Ohio State University. She is also the secretary on the board for Edheads, a local nonprofit organization that promotes STEM education.

Amaal Shehabi is the Assistant for leadership programming within the SEaL department, especially in connection to the Student Ambassador Leadership Program, COlumbus State Leadership Society and Collegiate Leadership Conference of Ohio. She completed her Associate of Art Degree from Columbus State Community college in May 2015. She is currently working in the Bachelor's of Art Education program at The Ohio State University. She plans on becoming an Art teacher one day. She is a former Student Ambassador and Student Ambassador Coordinator. Her expertise includes logistics, leadership and project planning. She also enjoys mentoring and making a difference in the community.

Katrina de los Santos is the Community Service and Student Support Specialist in Student Engagement and Leadership. She coordinates the community service programming, such as Serve our Community programs, Alternative Spring Break, Blood Drives and more. She also assists with student support programming such as the Student Parent Community and the Columbus State Scholar Network. She has served as the Transition Specialist for Columbus State's TRIO Department and CASE Department. She is also a former Student Ambassador Coordinator, Global Diversity Peer Educator and TRIO Peer Mentor. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbus State in 2015 and is graduating with her B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences from The Ohio State University in spring 2017. She is passionate about helping students and making a difference in the community.
