Columbus State Community College offers a wide variety of courses at convenient times throughout the year to aid in the development of our community. Keeping with that theme The Department of College Recreation and Wellness has open gym/recreation hours, intramurals, and a fitness center. We also offer free fitness classes to all faculty, staff, and students of Columbus State. We encourage the use of our facilities and classes to help promote a healthier lifestyle. A current CSCC ID is required for all activities.

Walk and Learns

Join Grace and Dawn for informative Walk and Learns during the summer semester. Come learn about different health and wellness topics while getting your steps in! Meet in front of the Bookstore for a 45 minute walk around the discovery district and downtown Columbus.

Mondays | 10 am

Thursdays | 12pm

*Walk and Learns begin the week of Monday, June 5 and continue to the last regular week of the semester. Walk and Learns may be cancelled due to bad weather, check our social media pages for weather related posts.

Wellness Classes

We offer free Wellness classes to Columbus State students, faculty and staff! Offerings include:

  • Self-Defense
  • Body Bar Conditioning
  • Yoga
  • Total Body Conditioning

And check back for special events such as Walk n' Learns and blood drive!

Wellness Classes and Intramurals

Fitness Centers

Columbus State's fitness center and locker rooms are located in the basement of Delaware Hall (DE). The center is free to current CSCC employees and students. Features include free weights, treadmills and elliptical machines, mats and other exercise equipment.

Personal Training

The Recreation and Wellness Conditioning Center provides Columbus State students, employees, and the Columbus community with low-cost personal training.
