Let’s Talk Food (and eat chips!)

You should have recently received an email inviting you to participate in a Customer Service Survey about our food services. If you’ve been around Columbus State for a while, you may remember participating in a similar survey in the past. Actually, this is the fourth year in a row we have conducted a survey to gauge your opinions on the food we offer, allowing us to measure trends and satisfaction over time.

Please take a few minutes to participate in this year’s survey. Your satisfaction with our food services is very important to us, and what better way to measure it than to hear directly from you? To thank you for your time and input, we will send you a coupon for a free bag of potato chips at the C-Store!

Please be assured that the data collected is confidential and will be used to help inform decisions about how to make food service better. Check your Columbus State email today, and be sure to respond to the survey by the deadline of November 21, to earn your free chips.

Register for Spring Semester and Go for Fifteen!

logoSpring Semester registration started October 22 and Spring Semester begins Monday, January 14 at Columbus State, so now’s the time to select your classes and fill your schedule for the next term.

When you’re looking at your Spring Schedule, remember to “Go for 15!” Fifteen credits that is. With the new semester schedule that all Ohio colleges and universities are on now, you will need to have at least 15 credits to complete your degree according to plan.

Because semesters are longer, your classes are now stretched out over 15 weeks. Take a look at your Plan of Study for your degree and you’ll see that it requires at least 60 credits to complete. A “full load” of classes –at least 15 credits – will get you there on time and on budget!

NOTE: Columbus State will close on-campus student services from Saturday, Dec. 22 –Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, for the holidays. These services will re-open on January 2, 2013. Online registration and fee payment will still be available during this period on CougarWeb, but in-person, on-campus, or phone services will not be available.

The On-time Registration period for Spring Semester is still October 22 – December 30, but the Late Registration Fee has been waived this term due to the holiday break. Just be sure to register early in order to schedule the classes and sections you want for spring! The Fee Payment Deadline for Spring Semester is January 8, 2013.
