The Columbus State Bookstore will now offer Buyback Week during finals week each term. Selling your textbooks during Buyback Week allows you to get the best buyback rate, because the Bookstore is stocking up for the next quarter, and can pay retail buyback prices. During Buyback Week, you will receive approximately 50% of the current retail price if: The textbook is in good condition, the textbook must be ordered by the academic department for the upcoming term, and the book is not overstocked.

Bookstore payment changes reminder

Beginning Summer Quarter 2012, eligible financial aid recipients will have a credit up to $500 at the Columbus State Bookstore, designated solely for the purchase of textbooks and course materials. This credit will be available prior to the beginning of the term, giving students the opportunity to purchase required course materials before classes begin.

The student’s remaining financial aid credit (equal to the student’s total financial aid disbursement minus tuition/fees, and minus the amount used at the Bookstore) will be disbursed in the form of a check or direct deposit that will be processed beginning the second week of the term. It’s important to note that no check or direct deposit disbursement of funds will be made prior to this date. Students who opt to purchase their textbooks and course materials elsewhere should plan accordingly.

Students who purchase their books from a vendor other than the Columbus State Bookstore will receive the total sum of their financial aid credit balance via check or direct deposit beginning the second week of the term. More information can be found online here.
